When Working Bridges participants come to our Resource Coordinators in financial crisis, they are in panic mode. The car just blew up, an unexpected bill just came in, or the eviction notice just showed up. Before our Resource Coordinators can work with them toward a long-term solution, we have a number of tools to help de-escalate the immediate panic and crisis. One of these tools is Grocery Gift Cards. Knowing that they can put food on the table helps bring down the level of panic, they can stabilize and feed their family, and begin putting resources toward addressing the immediate need.
