Franklin County Community Resource Board

We are hosting a quarterly family craft night to give children and their caretakers an opportunity to come together without screens and interact in a creative and meaningful way. For example for the Autumn 2026 Family Craft Night we are making Thankful Pumpkins. Families can make one for the entire family or one for each family member. We will be writing and decorating the word thankful on the pumpkins together at the Family Resource Center and then sending families home with their pumpkin and one colored acrylic marker per family member so that they can record what they are thankful for this year. We will encourage them to make it a daily practice and write one thing per day that they are thankful for throughout the season. Our hope is that the pumpkins can serve as a centerpiece for their Thanksgiving meal and a yearly reminder of what they were thankful for in 2026.
