Little Flowers Early Childhood and Development Center Inc

We envision 1118 N. Gilmor Street as more than a building. We envision it as a place where children walk through the doors each morning knowing that they are safe, valued, supported, and capable of achieving great things. The renovation will help us create an environment that better supports early childhood education, Pre-K, afterschool programming, enrichment activities, family engagement, and the future expansion of services. Our goal is to create spaces that are:Safe and welcoming for children and familiesFunctional and appropriate for early childhood educationSupportive of learning and child developmentConducive to arts and creative enrichmentAccessible and welcoming to individuals with diverse needsDesigned to support teachers and staffAppropriate for family and community programmingFlexible enough to accommodate future growthReflective of the quality and potential of the children we serveThe transformation of 1118 N. Gilmor Street represents an opportunity to create a lasting community asset. Why This Project MattersFor many families, access to quality early childhood education is about much more than finding a place for a child to spend the day. It is about finding a trusted environment where children can develop academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively while parents and caregivers have confidence that their children are being cared for and supported.A quality learning environment matters. The classroom environment influences how children interact, explore, learn, and develop. Teachers need functional spaces and appropriate resources to provide effective instruction. Families need spaces where they feel welcomed and connected. Children need places that inspire curiosity and creativity. The renovation of 1118 N. Gilmor Street will help Little Flowers strengthen all of these areas. We are not simply asking donors to help renovate a building. We are asking you to help build an environment where children can build their futures. These programs represent the foundation of our work. But we know there are more children and families who need access to quality educational and enrichment opportunities. That is why our vision for 1118 N. Gilmor Street is connected to growth.
